Whimsical Wednesday

Kew Gardens

Every Wednesday I’m posting a photograph which highlights the whimsical nature of London. As a tour guide, I get to see a lot of astonishing things while researching my walks and I will use this blog series as a means of sharing these sights with you.

kewgardensorchidsAs the winter months are dragging on, life can get a bit monochromatic in London. A trip to Kew Gardens, the Royal Botanic Gardens in Richmond, always proves to be a perfect antidote to this predicament. Taking place in February and March, their annual orchid festival is a true feast for the eyes and this year’s centrepiece even takes the shape of a gigantic flower.
